My question that guided my sustained investigation was, "When different kinds of fruits are examined closely, what exactly do they reveal?" My sustained investigation was able to answer that question. When using fruits, we often eat them and do not think any much more about them. When closely examined, they reveal a lot more than we could of imagined. In my sustained investigation, we start off simple with a few oranges and lemons in color, then as we progress throughout the images they become more complex and complicated, but the question is still answerable. My sustained investigation shows evidence of practice in the first image. There is lemons and oranges and hardest part was deciding which fruit to work with, which will reveal more? The watermelons and bananas reveal experimentation because they are all closely grouped together. Revision is introduced later in the images by stacking, cutting, and squeezing the fruits. The fruits reveal different sorts of patterns, shapes, and detail that we would never think twice to experiment about. As the images progress, they slowly lose their color and the images slowly transition to black and white revealing their true complexity.
